Welcome to the Bentex Cup 2025 web page
The Bentex Cup for 2025 will start on Saturday 5th April and will conclude on Saturday 1st November, which is 31 Saturdays.
There will be a few less matchdays than that for the Bentex Cup, as some Saturdays will be lost due to weather, Club Championships, Captains and Guest Days and other competitions.
We will try and include some club competition scores into the Bentex Cup.
This year the winner will record the highest points score from their best 13 scores from a maximum of 20 games, which must be played within the Saturday Swindle.
The winner must play 13 matches minimum.
Each competitor will be allowed up to 3 ‘opt outs’, when the player may still be playing in the Saturday Swindle, but might choose that their score that week doesn’t count towards their Bentex Cup points total.
Once a player reaches 20 scores, their total points score from their best 13 games will be ‘locked in’, and that will be their final score in the competition, even if there are still Swindle match days available before 1st November.
If there is a tie on points, there will be a play off between the tied players.

- £20 entry fee to cover prizes and website costs.
- Final Results and Rules – Bentex Cup Chairman’s decision is final
- Prizes – 1st £100, 2nd £60, 3rd £40, 4th £30, 5th £20, 6th to 10th place – All £10 each – Total Fund £300 plus some extra golf prizes.

A play off was required with Gary Lucas, Darren Edwardes & Robin Mitchell all scoring 462 points from their best 13 scores.
Congratulations to Gary Lucas, who prevailed in the play off, and wins £100 and holds the Bentex trophy for 2025.
Well done to Darren and Robin to push Gary all the way.
